From Darrell Slape, CEO
June, 2006

Dear Spine Patient:

I too am a very severe spine patient. I survived 10 years of conventional spine therapy and seven unsuccessful spine surgeries. Concluding with a surgically broken vertebrae and staff infection, I was sent home after 53 days in the hospital to expire on my own time. I concluded that there had to be a better way then treating a human being in such an unconscienable manner.

I was totally disabled with in-home nursing care. I refused to believe my life was over! I searched this country from coast to coast while continuing my study of the human spine and rehabilitation. I commuted from Eureka California to Portland Oregon for MedX therapy with Back In Action, Inc. for many months. I found answers and solutions---and brought them home to Eureka. I have continued the Back In Action philosophy since 1996. For over ten years, we have continued to provide MedX Exercise Therapy and Exercise Science in various programs designed to help others.

Your spine condition is of personal interest to me, and I am glad to share my personal history as a spine patient with you. I believe I could have avoided some of my surgeries which caused and continue to cause me suffering had an aggressive strengthening program like MedX been available to me sooner.

If you are being treated for any spine related dysfunction or if you are pre/post surgery, or are being treated for back pain in a facility that cannot prove to you radiographically that they have the capacity to reverse degenerative disc disease, maybe you should try Back In Action, Inc.

It is my intention to offer a positive experience, which in general, I did not have for decades as a spine patient. It is my goal to offer the most effective exercise science program available on planet Earth. I recommend Back In Action, Inc. for any persons desiring to receive physical therapy from a licensed physical therapist.
